Bringing About Change

A lot is new for a lot of us these days.  We elected a new President and are hoping for positive changes in our Country's health and well-being.

What about our health and well-being?  What changes have we resolved to make this year?  Many of us make "New Year's Resolutions" to get fit, get organized, lose 10 lbs., and many more.

Many people this year are facing tough challenges that go above and beyond the standard resolutions we all make each January 1st.  Financial insecurity, unemployment, housing/mortgage problems, and general stress, nervousness and sadness...this is what a lot of people are facing today.  If this sounds like you, you are not alone.

This is why it is so important to find ways to stay healthy mentally and physically.  Keeping it simple can be a good place to start...reduce the clutter and "clean house" as we say.  For a lot of us that means taking stock of what's important; slowing down; paring down expenses, luxuries, and social committments; and eliminating those other non-essentials from our list of "Things To Do" that can wait until things settle down.

In these tough times when our focus is on these other things it can be easy to forget to take care of ourselves, emotionally, mentally and physically.

For positive change to occur, seeing ourselves as a PRIORITY is of significant value and essential to our efforts for change.  It is also important for us to remember those people, places and things that help us achieve a sense of calm that can help us weather the storm created by stress.

Friends and family are often good sources of support when we are under stress. As are exercise, relaxation, and meditation.

We wish you all a HAPPY & HEALTHY 2009!

Please contact us if you are experiencing any challenges or stress in your life that you feel is more than you, your friends or family can manage alone.  We are here to provide that additional support when you need it.

Be Well,
